Barricade upgrades & placement costs

Survivor's Barricade upgrades improve the class-panel health and cost values. The first preview costs 150 Gems, increasing health from 150 to 160 and reducing the displayed base cost from 50 to 48. Actual placement prices in a run can be higher.

Where to find Barricade upgrades

Open the Classes shop, select Survivor, and inspect Barricade alongside Grenade and Airstrike. Read the Gem price and the next-level preview before buying. This is a class ability upgrade, separate from placing a barricade during combat.

Upgrade costs and health

The first two displayed upgrade prices add up to 500 Gems. That is the total of these two previews, not a cost to reach the ability's maximum level.

Placing a barricade during a run

The tutorial demonstrates Barricade placement before introducing the Airstrike ultimate. Watch the placement sequence below, then check the cash price on your own ability button before using it.

Why is my barricade more expensive than the class panel?

The class panel and the in-run button show different price contexts. The unupgraded class panel shows 50, while these reviewed run snapshots show changing cash costs:

These observations establish that the displayed price changes. They do not isolate whether each increase is caused by wave, placement count or another factor. Do not treat the class-panel cost as a fixed price for every placement.

Planning your spending

Our practical advice is to keep enough cash for your next intended placement rather than budgeting every barricade at $50. Check the live button alongside weapon and health purchases. Lobby Gem spending is a separate decision: compare these health gains with weapon upgrade previews and Survivor's other abilities.

Engineer has a separate Repair tool. Its inspected panel shows FREE, Repair 20 and Swing Time 0.65s; these are not additional Survivor Barricade upgrade levels.

Does upgrading Barricade increase health?

Yes. The recorded previews show 150 → 160 health at level one and 160 → 175 at level two.

Does a Barricade upgrade cost cash or Gems?

The lobby upgrade preview uses Gems. Placing Barricade during a run uses cash.

Is 175 health the maximum?

The reviewed level-two preview reaches 175 health. The footage does not establish this as the maximum level or health.
